When it comes to writing, everyone that does so tends to have a particular topic they are good at. Some people write well about general subjects such as taking care of pets or decorating a house. Others like to take parting writing novels whether it be Sci-Fi, Horror, Suspense, Mystery and there's always the beloved romance stories.

Many people who write decide they want to explore romance writing because of the thrill of portraying situations that may not be welcomed in any other genre. It's an opportunity to display erotic and sensual stories that one may have tucked inside their minds. However, romance writing is very different than writing nay other genre and it can be hard for many to figure out what it takes to follow through with romance writing.

Tips and Tricks

When first deciding to dip into romance writing, you should open your mind to any thoughts and ideas that flood it. Write all the ideas down as a checklist, and when you're finished choose the top 3 ideas that are most intriguing to you. These ideas don't have to be about sex or even love at first. They can be the kind of setting your characters will be placed, or the character types themselves.

Once you've decided upon the top 3 ideas you'll incorporate into your story, you will want to then create the circumstances. Details are not important here as they will come out while the story is being written. It's not a good idea to create details before you start writing, as romance writing is all about creativity and spontaneity.

After you have circumstances and ideas in place, you're ready to write! Begin the story with the knowledge that you'll end up re-writing more than once to get the end product to your liking. The great part about romance writing is that there is no particular flow you have to follow as with other kinds of writing, and there really are no rules when it comes to being politically or romantically correct.

Something to keep in mind is that the more bazaar your story, the better results you'll get from readers. Many romance writing professionals think outside the box in order to capture their audience in a way that they wouldn't expect. Once you've accomplished the goal of leaving your comfort zone while writing, you're sure to make a perfect romance novel!
